  • Install Win2000 bdfpick / Win2000 D3


  • Install Win2000 bdfpick / Win2000 D3
    - download jdk and tomcat :
    • jdk : http://java.sun.com/j2se/ , file "j2sdk-1_3_1-win.exe"
    • jdk : version 1.3.1, if greater, give us the version number for verification
    • tomcat : http://jakarta.apache.org/ , file "jakarta-tomcat-3.3.zip"
    • tomcat : version 3.3, if greater, give us the version number for verification
    - installation of jdk :
    • all default options
    - install tomcat, and the parameters :
    • unzip the file to "c:\"
    • rename the directory "c:\jakarta-tomcat-3.3" in "c:\tomcat"
    • create a system variable "JAVA_HOME" with the value "c:\jdk1.3.1"
    • startup by "c:\tomcat\bin\startup.bat", stop by "c:\tomcat\bin\shutdown.bat"
    • or declare as a "service"
      • download "jk_nt_service.zip"
      • unzip the file to "c:\tomcat\bin"
      • update the file "c:\tomkat\conf\jk\wrapper.properties" :
        • wrapper.tomcat_home=c:\tomcat
        • wrapper.java_home=c:\jdk1.3
      • under "c:\tomcat\bin", launch "jk_nt_service -i Tomcat ..\conf\jk\wrapper.properties"
    - verify the jdk and tomcat installation :
    - Download and authorise bdfpick :
    - consult your email :
    • you will receive an email within approximately 10 minutesun
    - use the mail to download :
    • "bdfpick_w32.zip"
    • "bdfpick_w32.d3p"
    • "web.xml"
    - install "bdfpick_w32.zip" :
    • stop the tomcat service
    • unzip the file to "c:\tomcat\webapps" directory
    • restart the tomcat service
    - vérify the installation of "bdfpick_w32.zip" :
    - install "bdfpick_w32.d3p" :
    • this is a backup of the fsi D3 "PRG-SRV" account (Version 7.2.0.NT)
    • the restoration in "fsi", under the same name, on the D3 machine
    • create 2 accounts "SERVER" and"SERVMUL" synonyms of "PRG-SRV"
    • create 2 users D3 (same names) make a "LOGTO" in the account of the same name
    - vérify the installation of "bdfpick_w32.d3p" :
    • after a telnet connection to the address (machine IP address_pick), enter the user :
      "SERVER" ou "SERVMUL"
      this should show a "pipe" to 'invite to bdfpick (exit by sortie "6 times pipe" enter in "echo-off" and "rc")
    - install the autorisation for bdfpick :
    • stop the tomcat service
    • replace the file "c:\tomcat\webapps\pick\WEB-INF\web.xml" by the file received by email
    • start the tomcat service
    - vérify the complete installation :
    - the installation is at last finished !
